Company Statement: Smart Movers Club Is Now a Managed Bid Department for Contractors

Smart Movers Club (SMC) today issued a definitive statement of what the company is and is not. SMC is an outsourced bid management and procurement department for general contractors and specialty subcontractors. We source qualified opportunities, coordinate estimating, develop proposals, manage submissions, and follow up after the bid.

SMC is not a marketing agency, not a software product, and not a consultancy. Any earlier description of the company as a full-service agency, or as a provider of marketing, advertising, or general small-business growth services, is retired and no longer accurate. Those service lines have been discontinued and their pages redirected.

There is a single engagement: a Bid Department Buildout followed by a managed monthly engagement, plus a performance fee on awarded work. The initial engagement is six months, and the investment is scoped to each contractor’s pursuit volume, markets and level of support.

From 22 November 2025 through 13 August 2026, SMC reviewed 332 opportunities and submitted 142 bids representing $29.0 million in contract value across 8 client companies, supporting $3.9 million in awarded work at an observed 12.1% win rate on decided bids. These are recorded program results, not projections.

Eight steps: learn the business, build the bid profile, source opportunities, qualify against trade, size, capacity, bonding and geography, coordinate the estimate, write the proposal, secure owner approval, submit, and follow up. Every deliverable is reviewed and signed off by an SMC estimator before it reaches a client.
