The company is not software, a marketing agency, or a consultancy. SMC runs the function — the same work a contractor would staff internally with a bid manager, an estimating coordinator, and a proposal writer.

Across the current program, SMC has reviewed 332 opportunities, submitted 142 bids representing $29.0 million in contract value, and supported $3.9 million in awarded work at an observed 12.1% win rate on decided bids.

Each engagement begins with a Bid Department Buildout, followed by a flat monthly managed engagement with a performance component tied to awarded work.

The process runs in eight steps: learn the business, build the bid profile, source opportunities, qualify them against trade, size, capacity, bonding and geography, coordinate the estimate, write the proposal, secure owner approval, submit, and follow up.
